See the World with New Eyes

04.08.05

On the go with the K750i camera phone:
always ready to capture images and emotions

The “woweffect” is guaranteed! The new Sony Ericsson K750i camera phone delivers top-quality images, reproduced razor-sharp and in brilliant colors on a crystal-clear display. The combination of a two-megapixel camera, auto-focus and fourfold digital zoom produces first-rate snapshots that needn’t fear comparison with photos taken by a traditional digital camera. Anyone who has discovered how practical it is to always have a camera available in their mobile phone will experience everyday life with enhanced awareness and their eyes peeled. After all, the world is full of terrific motifs that are just waiting to be spontaneously captured in photos or videos.

Although the K750i is brand new on the market, it’s already a prize-winner. The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), an association of 31 leading European photo and imaging magazines, recently named it the “Best Mobile Imaging Device 2005.”

Styled in classically sleek Sony Ericsson design, the new K750i has two faces: a phone-side and a camera-side. Operating it is child’s play because the camera is ready to use as soon as its lens cover has been manually opened. The unit is held horizontally when snapping pictures, just like a conventional stand-alone camera. The phone display automatically changes into a viewfinder. Optional accessories include a genuine camera flash, the MXE-60, which relies on the proven technology of traditional camera flashes. This flash generates a brief pulse of intense light, so the MXE-60 can take high-quality pictures even in pitch darkness and from several meters away. The flash recharges quickly so you can take several photos in rapid succession. An integrated LED combines with the flash to reduce the redeye effect. The K750i is technologically excellent because it’s based on the same technology that’s used in popular Sony digital cameras, thus allowing Sony Ericsson to take advantage of the imaging know-how of Sony Corporation, its parent company.

From amateur snapper to professional photographer
The K750i is so easy to use that it can transform an amateur snapper into a nearly professional photographer. A variety of features can be selected with a joystick from the “options” menu in the camera mode. The “effects icon”, for example, offers options such as black/white, sepia, negative or solarization. Before shooting the photo, the photographer selects the desired effect and the display instantly provides a preview of the impact it will have on the picture. The options menu includes pre-settable features such as picture size and quality, macro, night mode, camera light, self-timer, white balance, etc.

Up to 300 high-resolution pictures always on board
Want to give a lovelorn girlfriend a quick look at that good-looking guy who just starting working in an adjacent office? Or would you like to show her those pictures you took on your weekend trip to Barcelona? As many as 300 extremely high-resolution photos can be stored in the 32MB internal memory and the 64MB Memory Stick DUOTM, which is delivered along with the phone. External memory can be increased to 4GB with the appropriate Memory Stick PRO DUOTM.

Photos on TV replace classic slideshow evenings
Say goodbye to bulky projection screens, wrinkled bed sheets, and loudly droning slide projectors! Modern technology makes the typical ingredients of a home slideshow as obsolete as dinosaurs. A photo presentation on your TV saves space and provides a much more impressive viewing experience. All it takes is the K750i camera phone, a TV with a scart connection, and the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Media Center MMV-200. The photos are simply sent via Bluetooth from the phone to the Media Center, which automatically transfers the data to the TV and makes the photographs visible on the screen. And what works so well with photos is equally convenient to use with music and video. The selected songs are sent via Bluetooth to the Media Center and can be heard from a TV or even on a hi-fi system, if the Media Center is connected to it. The mobile phone works like an ordinary remote control so you can readily click through images, videos or songs. Pictures and sounds run simultaneously, thus making the MMV-200 one of the most versatile new multimedia products.

USB cable for fast data transfer and synchronization
A USB cable, delivered along with the camera phone, can transmit photos, video and MP3-files from and to a PC at the rapid rate of 12mbit/sec. This USB cable can be used to synchronize personal contacts, calendar and notes from Microsoft OutlookTM. At present, this function is only PC-compatible.

No PC is needed to print photos. Images stored in the camera phone can be sent wirelessly to a Bluetooth photo printer or can be transferred via a Memory Stick to a compatible printer or a nearby photo shop.
